BLUE BOULEVARD
(Don Breithaupt)
I’m walking on a blue boulevard
September rain and neon light
A blue boulevard
Surrendering to night
We used to walk this blue boulevard
So far above the broken hearts
A new boulevard
A place where love could start
Oh I could walk all night
And never ever find
The places we used to go
Over time this street has changed
And no one knows my name
Still I crave this glow
There’s something in a blue boulevard
That takes me back to where I’ve been
But we’re through boulevard
The morning’s closing in
I’m going home again
